Terrific to see the web page. Im glad to see Hitchcock still surviving and doing well. I always enjoyed living in Hitchcock and was finally able to visit last year around July with my wife and kids. They thought it was all great. Although we did not run into many old friends, we got to spend some time with my brother Monty and had a really nice time.
We would like to say a "Big Thank You" to Ray & Rita Waldner not only for having the best museum in SD but also for being so helpful. We stopped in on our way home and Ray interrupted his plans to show us around and find family items. The collection is truly amazing!!! Thanks again. It nice to see such a cute little town is still around in the USA. The sense of community is very nice.
Noticed some homes and buildings for sale on Ebay and decided to look up the Town. There is a building being sold with a mural being painted on it. I did not see it referenced in the town pictures. For a small Town, the web site was done real nice and professional. Sounds like a nice place to visit.

Their names were Neil and Bruce Annes. I do not recall the name of the newspaper at that time, but is was back in the 1914-1922 era. My dad (Dallas Gordon) grew up in Hitchcock and I have a lot of fond memories of visiting my Uncle Larry's farm. My Father was Joseph "Ole" Johnson from Hitchcock, his parents were Swedish Farmers. Dad was born in 1911, died 1990. My last visit to Hitchcock was in 1976. My Grandparents are burried in Altoona Cemetary.....Blessings to you all!!

We had a great time at the 125 year celebration. My dad, Marvin Riemath, grew up in Hitchcock. My sister and I visited our grandmother, Hazel, there before she moved to CA. It was fun to see her house and remember what the town was like in the 50's. We enjoyed the banquet, the parade and visiting cousins we don't get to see often. Thanks, ginger doner
