Hello! My name is Beatriz Jorge. I am from Brazil. In 1987 I lived in Hitchcock as a Rotary Club exchange student at Ray and Rita Waldner's house. I am very happy to see this nice town at the internet. Congratulations! I am also happy to know about the Hitchcock Museum. Back in Brazil I am a Medical Doctor and also a teacher at the University. I have my own office and I love my job. The time I spent in the USA was very important for me. Goodbye!

What a wonderful web page. Even though I haven't been back for years, it is nice to see Hitchcock in print. I was looking through the basketball scores, etc. and I want to especially wish the girls the best in all of their wins this year and good luck to them in the districts, etc. Basketball just started when I graduated. I wish now that I would have participated. Deloris (Scheidegger) Watts Class of 1974 Lennox, SD

Terrific to see the web page. Im glad to see Hitchcock still surviving and doing well. I always enjoyed living in Hitchcock and was finally able to visit last year around July with my wife and kids. They thought it was all great. Although we did not run into many old friends, we got to spend some time with my brother Monty and had a really nice time.

We would like to say a "Big Thank You" to Ray & Rita Waldner not only for having the best museum in SD but also for being so helpful. We stopped in on our way home and Ray interrupted his plans to show us around and find family items. The collection is truly amazing!!! Thanks again. Noticed some homes and buildings for sale on Ebay and decided to look up the Town. There is a building being sold with a mural being painted on it. I did not see it referenced in the town pictures. For a small Town, the web site was done real nice and professional. Sounds like a nice place to visit.

Hello, this is Javier Estrada, class of 86 HHS. I live in Madrid and today the terrorist named ETA, who fight since 1970 against the rest of Spain, because they think that they have to be independent... They live in the north of Spain a place named country Basque, a great and nice place, full of nice people, but with 300.000 assassins, people that wants to fight and celebrate his murders. Today Madrid has become a chaos place, we are well, my family and friends, but more than 70 people are dead and more than 400 are wounded. I hate what Bush, Blair and my president Aznar had made in Iraq... I hate people that assassin for money or only for one idea. Big hugs to every one... I Write this text to tell you that we all people have to make this world better. Big hubs to everyone, people in Hitchcock, people that I still loving and people that show me a lot of things when I was only 17 years old. Javier Estrada

Dear Friends In Hitchcock: I enjoyed your website and am wondering about further history information of the town as my uncle and his brother used to run the local newspaper there. Their names were Neil and Bruce Annes. I do not recall the name of the newspaper at that time, but is was back in the 1914-1922 era. Any information or pictures from that time in history of Hitchcock would be greatly appreciated. Bill Febuary Clovis, California bilfeb@msn.com

I was born in Hitchcock on June 24, 1908, and my father James Murphy owned Murphy's Mechantile Store in town. I am now widowed from Kenneth A. Poole, of Huron, since 1968, and live in Tacoma, WA where I have raised my family. We had to leave the area during the Depression to find employment. I would love to hear from any of my school friends if you are still with us.

We had a great time at the 125 year celebration. My dad, Marvin Riemath, grew up in Hitchcock. My sister and I visited our grandmother, Hazel, there before she moved to CA. It was fun to see her house and remember what the town was like in the 50's. We enjoyed the banquet, the parade and visiting cousins we don't get to see often. Thanks, ginger doner
